Terms of use

These terms govern the use of BakuChess accounts, website features, chess events, and online play. By using the service, you agree to follow these terms and any additional conditions shown on a specific event page.
Your account
Provide accurate registration information, protect your sign-in methods, and take responsibility for activity performed through your account. Accounts used to impersonate others, undermine security, or falsify competition records may be restricted.
Google sign-in uses a verified email address and Google account identifier solely to recognize your sign-in. BakuChess does not request access to your Google password, contacts, Drive files, or calendar.
Events and registration
Capacity, time control, venue, entry fee, and other event rules are stated on the relevant tournament page. If safety, venue, or operational circumstances require a change, BakuChess will make reasonable efforts to inform participants promptly.
Registration does not guarantee that a place will be held indefinitely or that an event cannot change. If payment and refund conditions are not stated, contact BakuChess before making a payment.
Fair play and conduct
Participants must treat opponents, organizers, and venues respectfully. Cheating, abuse, threats, deliberate disruption, or unauthorized assistance during online play may result in restrictions on an account or event participation.
Competition results and rating records may be retained to preserve tournament integrity and corrected when an error is established.
Content and service availability
You must have the right to use any profile image or other material you upload. Content that is unlawful, deceptive, or infringes another person's rights may be removed.
BakuChess works to provide a reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be temporarily suspended or updated for security, maintenance, or product changes.
Restrictions and contact
Serious or repeated breaches of these terms may lead to restrictions on account features. Account and personal-data requests are reviewed individually; account deletion does not automatically erase tournament results or records needed for competition integrity.
